Members conduct visits to those requesting help in order to evaluate their needs and to provide assistance to help meet those needs.  Requirements to be involved include a concern for those in need, rational decision-making and respect for confidentiality.

Provide support through financial donations
St. Vincent de Paul is funded through local individual or organizational donations only.  We can provide assistance to the extent that we have the funds available...the more generous your donation, the more people in need we can help.

To make a cash donation you may use one of the pre-printed St. Vincent de Paul envelopes on the table located in the hallway near church, or use any envelope and simply write "St. Vincent de Paul" on the front.  Checks should be made payable to St. Jane Frances AND write St. Vincent de Paul in the memo line.  Donation envelopes can be placed in the collection basket at Mass or dropped off at the parish office.

Donate to our food pantry
Throughout the year, we provide food for those who have little to eat, especially families with children. Pantry items that are most helpful include:

  • canned meat (chicken, ham, tuna)
  • canned meals:  soups, chili, spaghetti-O's, stew, etc.
  • canned fruits:  peaches, pineapple, mixed fruit, pears, applesauce, etc.
  • dried packaged foods:  macaroni & cheese, pasta, potatoes, rice stuffing, cereal, jello, powdered milk, etc.
  • spaghetti sauce (jars or cans), gravy salad dressing, mayonnaise, ketchup, etc.
  • peanut butter and jelly or jam
  • canned vegetables:  baked beans, tomatoes, peas, potatoes, mixed vegetables, etc. (No canned corn or green beans at this time)
  • jarred or canned juices:  apple grape tomato, etc.
  • boxed crackers or cookies

NOTE: Please check expiration dates on food that is donated - expired food cannot be distributed.

Your donations can be...

  • deposited in the baskets at the front of the church (at offertory collection, or before or after Mass)
  • given to one of the Ushers
  • dropped off at the parish office anytime during office hours

Family Holiday Food Baskets
The need for food donations increases at the holidays.  Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets are provided to nearly 50 families each year - turkeys and/or hams are needed for each family and can be donated during the months of November and December.

Advent Giving Tree
Through the efforts of the parish Advent Giving Tree project, and the generous support of parishioners, we provide over 300 gifts to children in need within our local community - bringing the "light of Christ" to their families on Christmas morning.

Support the "Dessert" table at the parish Lenten Fish Fry
Parishioners are asked to donate desserts, which volunteers cut and plate.  At the Fish Fry a $1.00 donation is requested for each dessert portion, with proceeds supporting St. Vincent de Paul.  Consider donating a dessert (home-made or store bought)...or purchasing a dessert when you pick up your fish fry meal!  Popular items include pies, cakes and brownies.  Please note, treats must have No Nuts, No Peanut Butter or Nothing that needs to be refrigerated!
